Final Major Project Proposal.

·         What theme you have chosen and why?

I have decided to make a games concept and company/ product logo, I have decided to choose this because I am pretty much obsessed with gaming and the ideas behind games really fascinating; I am also hoping to take Level 3 Games Design and Development course next year- so this will be something that I can use to display my passion for this and how I can use my imagination to my advantage.

·         What mediums will you be using to create your work?

The medium I will be using to create my work will be Adobe Photoshop, I will be also be using a camera to take pictures of landscape and the countryside and use it to make a landscape in the 2D game concept that I’m planning to create.

·         Describe how you want your work to look.

·         Include images that have inspired you to help you describe your idea.

The picture above is of Terraria and this is the main inspiration behind my work as it could show what my game might look like.

·         Describe what initial research, pre-production work and audience research you will undertake while completing this project.

I will use survey monkey for primary research, asking people if they know what Retro games and 2D games are, if they know any 2D or Retro games that they've played, what age they think people would play those types of games and what they'd expect a game of that genre to look like.

·         Describe how you will present your final piece/Pieces.

I want to display my work in a way where I have my logo for my company at the top of like a display board, some information about how I felt it went and a little description about the idea behind my work. Then some of the work around the game concept and the game itself will be displayed below with a few original pictures of the landscape too, so that I can display what other things inspired my work.
